Door Tags are a fun way to welcome the residents to their new homes! Door tags can either be edited digitally through Photoshop or other editing means or can be hand crafted using non flammable materials! Since Fall 2016, UTEP Residence Life has added a theme element to the halls to make the floors in all three properties look like a fun place to live. Themes are changed every semester and vary by property, so door tags for every floor at every property change accordingly!
The door tags below are examples of the door tags for the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semesters at Miner Canyon on my floor. The theme for the Fall semester was chosen to be Pixar movies and the Spring 2018 theme was Board Games. For my floor, during the Fall semester, I chose Toy Story and two different types of door tags under that theme. One half of the floor had "Space Ranger" emblems as their door tag, and the other half had Sheriff badges as theirs, referencing the main protagonists in the Toy Story adventures Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody.
For the Spring semester, I chose my floor to have a classic board game theme which was "Clue". These door tags were a little harder to design as the original set of images were not to the proper size to print. But with a quick Photoshop lesson from R.A Tony, I was able to make the proper edits and create character card door tags for my residents! Below are example door tags of some R.As from all properties.
